2024 / 2025 PROGRAMME
After our usual summer break, we are delighted to recommence our programme of events for the second half of our 2024 session. Once again, we have aimed to provide a wide range of topics in the hope that everyone finds something of interest.
Our first session is on October 3rd for a talk by Matthew Spence and Andrew Blakeley on the integrated approach to gauging for Scotland's Railway. This is followed by the annual Railway Division Chair's address which this year is on home turf for Iain.
Our 2025 programme will be announced fully in due course but will start off with this year's postponed lecture on Japanese Railways followed by the Scottish round of the annual Future of Rail Presentation Competition.
We remain extremely grateful to ScotRail for the use of their venue at Atrium Court for "in person" attendees but, for those of you who are unable to make it in person, most of our events are also in Hybrid form to allow virtual attendance.
Everyone is always welcome, and I look forward to seeing you soon.
Gareth Earle-Payne
Chair, Railway Division Scottish Centre
