The rail industry decarbonisation taskforce concluded that a "Judicious Mix" of electrification, hydrogen and battery traction is needed if rail traction is to be net zero carbon by 2050.
This presentation will consider what this mix should be with particular reference to the amount of electrification required

Railway Challenge which has been running since 2012.
