Description

In 1912 there occurred a shipping disaster of such proportions that we are still talking and speculating about it over one hundred years later. Over 1400 people lost their lives in a ship which was at the peak of modern technology at that time. On the face of it , it was a gross failure in engineering design and nautical practice .
This talk covers the circumstances that led to TTANIC'S creation , her collision, and her eventual loss, with particular emphasis on engineering and the role that engineers played in her short life- dispelling many of the popular myths that surround this tragedy.
