North of Scotland is benefiting from an unprecedented boom in the amount of new generation being constructed for connection to the electricity grid.

Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission (SHET) has dramatically increased its capital investment on upgrading existing and building new transmission infrastructure.
 
 
Caithness Moray portfolio is the largest network investment made to-date, key challenges, progress to date and remaining activities will be explained.

Speaker is Michael Blake, who is a Lead Project Manager with SSE for major Transmission projects. He leads the land cable works on the Caithness Moray High Voltage DC project. Previously, he managed the Edinburgh Tram project and other utility projects.
