BLOODHOUND SSC is a unique, high-technology project to design and build a car that will break the 1,000mph (1,609 km/h) barrier and set a new world land speed record. 

The Project's other objectives being: Inspire the next generation about science, technology, engineering and mathematics and share an iconic research and development programme with a global audience.

This lecture will describe some of the technology but also the innovative education approaches that are being used to engage schools, colleges or university students around the Globe – could you become part of it.

Open to the public and is free.

John Blacklock has spent several years delivering educational initiatives and public events around the UK as part of the Bloodhound Supersonic Car Project. His diverse career covers challenges in the Nuclear, Defence and Marine Industries and has turned his attention to supporting this project.
