We are excited to invite you to our annual end of year event. This year we will be joined by keynote speaker Tom Baxter. We are also delighted to have ICorr members join us for this event. A free buffet meal will be included as well as ample opportunity to speak to other IMechE and ICorr members as well as the keynote speaker.

The keynote presentation will be given by Tom Baxter, a Chemical Engineering consultant providing energy and greenhouse gas reduction expertise. He is also a founding member of the Hydrogen Science Coalition.

Hydrogen is ubiquitous in the scientific and general media. It is often described as a wonder fuel, a silver bullet. Tom's talk will discuss hydrogen's role in delivering net zero in the UK and where he sees the right and wrong-headed promotion of hydrogen.

Steve Cromar, Aberdeen Area Committee Chair, will host the event. We will finish off the evening with a look ahead to what we have in store for 2024.

Attendance is free of charge, but spaces are limited.

There is no dress code for the event. A notice will be left out by staff at The Sandman directing you where to go, look out for this upon arrival.
