This Event has been organised by the Condition Monitoring Working Group of the Process Industries Division of the IMechE. It is hosted by Process Industries Division and promoted across the Centres in the North West and Yorkshire Regions, the Aberdeen Area, the North East Area, all part of the Process Industries Community.
Vibration-based condition monitoring (VCM) is well-known and well-accepted industrial tool to identify the detect/defects in any machines. This information is generally used to trigger the condition-based maintenance (CBM) process to rectify the defects before any failure. In many cases, the same defect appears frequently and the VCM often fails to provide root cause for the frequent occurrences of same defect in a machine. A few such industrial machine problems solved by the operational deflection shape (ODS) analysis will be discussed during the presentation.
The speaker and panel will take your questions from the chat and answer them at the end of the session.
