The lecture will review recent progress by the GREEN VOLT project in securing a 400MW Contract for Difference from the UK government, placing Green Volt in prime position to be Europe's largest commercial scale floating offshore wind farm.
We will review a major survey completed in 2024 in order to support delivery of Green Volt, including:
- objectives for the survey
- vessel capabilities and crew
- challenges of working offshore
- successful completion of the survey and next steps
Speaker(s)
Elliott studied oceanography at the University of Plymouth. He has held roles across a number of offshore survey providers and was part of the pioneering team at XOCEAN that introduced Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) to gather data for offshore wind projects and their maintenance.
