Join us for a visit to Hydro Group, a global leader in subsea connectivity engineering and innovation.

This is the second in a series of Aberdeen IMechE summer tours of companies involved with offshore power.

Hydro Group, design, manufacture, and test complete subsea electrical and optical interconnect package for the oil and gas, marine renewable energy and defence industries. Their bespoke cables and connectors are designed, precision-engineered, manufactured and tested to withstand the harshest environmental conditions.

After a short presentation, you will get to tour the site, see some of the production facilities in operation and view products including custom cable assemblies and miniature waterproof connectors right up to the 36kV Hydro Renewable Connector (HRC).

Please arrive between 13.45 and 13.50 for refreshments prior to the event starting promptly at 14:00. Depending on numbers you maybe split into two groups.

If you have safety shoes/boots and glasses you are advised to bring them, however a limited number will be available on site.
