Description

Discover one of the UK’s leading centres for advanced manufacturing innovation with a technical visit to the Advanced Forming Research Centre in Inchinnan, part of the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland.

The visit will include a guided tour led by AFRC staff, offering the chance to ask questions about current research. Attendees will see FutureForge, the AFRC’s state‑of‑the‑art forging research facility, alongside the centre’s wider research capabilities — such as materials testing, characterisation, metrology, and forming and forging development areas.

This is a great opportunity to explore cutting‑edge industrial research in action and gain insight into how the AFRC supports partners across aerospace, energy, transport, and other high‑value manufacturing sectors.

Places are limited so booking is essential.

This visit is wheelchair accessible.

Please wear attire suitable for an industrial/research environment.
