Description

Whilst the introduction of fully automated vehicles may still seem a long way in the future, many of the building blocks are being progressively introduced into production cars today.

This presentation will present an overview of the connected and automated vehicle landscape, outline the transition to connected and automated vehicles, before describing a number of key building blocks such as advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), vehicle to X communications, development processes and whether 'fail safe' is sufficient or do systems need to 'fail operation'.

This event is joint with the IET.

A poster is available.
