Ian Rawlings, Professional Head of Vehicles at TfL, will provide a
high-level background on the UITP, its structure, how it works, details on some of the topics explored by the Rolling Stock platform in the past few years and something of the work that is planned. Other areas of TfL's engagement with UITP will be covered along the ubiquitous international metro images!
The International Association of Public Transport (UITP) is a non-profit member-led organisation for public transport authorities, networks and operators, policy decision-makers, scientific institutes and the public transport supply and service industry, that works to advance sustainable urban mobility. An organisation in existence for 140 years this year, it helps bring together Public Transport organisations from across the globe to promote learning and experience across the public sector for urban mobility.
This event will be held at RSSB offices (25 Fenchurch Avenue, London) and provide a hybrid option for those that are unable to make it in person. Refreshments will be available at 17:30, with the presentation starting at 18:00. For those who book online please note that joining instructions will be sent separately the day before the event.
