The Farnborough & Guildford Area committee welcome you & look forward to meeting you.
As always, your committee has been working hard to ensure we have an interesting and varied programme of events. We plan lectures well ahead and publish the programme at least 6 months in advance.
If you have an email address on your membership profile which is within the IMechE website you should receive a monthly digests of events and advisory emails. You can also download the ThamesWey programme card, in pdf format, from the IMechE website.
As we are planning events so far in advance, changes are sometimes unavoidable. Therefore, we strongly advise all our members to keep a keen eye on the 'events' page, to make sure they have the most up-to-date details for all our events.
When ever possible please use the website to book a place, or places, for advertised lectures. This helps your committee greatly.
Reaching our Members
In an age where it is easy to reach 'information overload', we are keen to understand the best way to reach our members. In addition to the website and event emails, we would like to know if you have any views about receiving information from your committee?
We currently have: a group on LinkedIn 'IMechE - Farnborough & Guildford Area'. We are certainly not using this to it's full potential and are not active on any other of the available social media platforms. We'd love to hear your comments and ideas and if anybody can provide practical help please get in touch.
