Description

A brief programme for the evening is as follows:
18.15 Arrival - tea and coffee will be served
18.45 Introductory talk on fusion
19.15 to 21.30 Tour of JET and MAST fusion experiments.
Please would you also kindly note the following information:
On arrival at Culham you will be checked in at the visitor’s reception so please ask the members of your party to bring photo identification. This needs to be a valid photo driving licence or a passport.
Please could you also let us know if you have an automatic drug dispenser or pacemaker fitted as a medical implant, as this may affect access to some parts of the tour.
The evening starts promptly at 18:45. Please ensure that you arrive at Culham site between 18.15-18.45 to get through the gate and park. The event should finish at about 21.30.
We would like to make you aware that there will be a significant amount of brisk walking during the tour (3-4 km of walking and standing) so it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes. Please also note that open-toe shoes are strictly forbidden in one of the experimental areas, so please ensure ALL visitors wear covered footwear.
Unfortunately, we do have restrictions on children attending the Culham Open evening, this is due to health and safety issues. However, children from the age of 14 years and upwards are able to attend the Open evening.
Please note that photography is permitted throughout the tours.
Finally, it would also be very much appreciated if you could let us know if you are no longer able to visit, so that we can invite people who are on the waiting list.
