The Valter Prize competition is aimed at young people and encourages them to share in the excitement of seeing scientific principles in action.
The competition was set up as a result of a bequest by the late Richard Valter, with the fund being managed by Dorset ASSET. Richard was an active supporter in local IMechE activities and promoted engineering in schools.
