Urbaser - UK Gloucestershire Energy from Waste - Haresfield
Gloucestershire’s new “Energy from Waste” facility is a key element of local waste management. Operational in 2019, it takes waste that would otherwise go to landfill and produces electricity. Its design and operation is of great interest to engineers. The 2-hour visit involves a presentation and a walking-tour of some of the facility. The walking tour takes in the Waste Reception Hall, Waste Bunker, and a view of the waste burning on the grate.
