Clevedon Court
Home to the lords of the manor of Clevedon for centuries, the core of the house is a remarkable survival from the medieval period. The house was purchased by Abraham Elton in 1709 and it is still the much-loved family home of his descendants today. Note: the Elton family opens and manages the property for the National Trust. An excellent opportunity to visit Hills Waste Solutions Ltd. Waste Management Facility at their Lower Compton Site.
Here you will see recycling of materials collected via their Kerbside collection team in Wiltshire, treatment for wood recycling, composting and water treatment.
The tour will end with a view of the Landfill, which is required to manage householders waste not presented for recycling.

About this event
The trial packet and bulk mail processing system being used at Royal Mail's South West Distribution Centre handles packets, bundles, trays and bags of mail. The talk will describe how the system functions and the problems encountered when processing a variety of products simultaneously.
