Who Are We?

We are a group of young engineers & students either working towards or having recently achieved Professional Registration. We are passionate about promoting engineering within the wider community. The panel unites a diverse group of young members in the early stages of their careers, fostering mutual development and growth. Our social events enhance our individual networks and provide valuable support to one another.

What Do We Do?

We support the development of Young Members within the Bath, Bristol and the surrounding areas, through organising a variety of events, such as lecturers, technical tours, workshops, presentations and networking evenings. Additionally, we actively support students and inspire the next generation to pursue careers in engineering through our STEM outreach.

Our events, lectures, and visits are designed to be both educational and engaging, catering specifically to young engineers. Additionally, we actively promote the engineering profession to school-age children through initiatives, aiming to inspire the next generation of engineers.

Being Part of the Panel

Joining the IMechE Bath & Bristol Young Members Panel is a fulfilling opportunity that typically requires around 5 hours per month, or approximately 10 hours if you take on an executive role. We welcome enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about engineering and eager to contribute to our vibrant community. Your involvement will help shape our events and initiatives, making a positive impact on the development of young engineers in our area.
