Description
The MPDS Mentor Training event is to provide support to
experienced professional Engineers who are acting as mentors to recently
qualified Engineers. It will be provided by our Regional Business
Development Manager, Alan King.
Alan will be speaking about the procedure for offering mentor
support to candidates registered on the IMechE Monitored Professional
Development Scheme. He will explain the importance of the ‘Mentor’ role,
the reasons why MPDS candidates are assigned with mentors, and what
skills/experience a mentor should have. He will also provide
training for how to use the online reporting and career development tools and
give some mentoring ‘top tips’.
The event will be held in room 206 in the Roland Levinsky Building located at the University of Plymouth. There is no need to book on this event just turn up on the day.
