At this site Supacat are manufacturing the Launch and Recovery units for the RNLI’s new class of Shannon lifeboats. Fabrication and machining of the larger sections of these units is also carried out at this facility.

At the Blackhill facility there is a wide range of manufacturing equipment including a large lathe, originally used to make ship components including prop. shafts but which is now used to machine the engine bay sections for the launcher.
