Join the Bath & Bristol and South Wales Young Members’ Panel for this incredible two day trip!

We will visit the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in Manchester, have a networking night with the Manchester Young Members and spend a day at Alton Towers.

MOSI

Here we will learn about RAF aircraft, the innovations of the Industrial Revolution and Manchester locomotives and railway. We will receive a talk and a demonstration of steam mill engines and see the Manchester Mill Demo. 

Networking Night

We will be having dinner with some Manchester Young Members, who will be more than happy to answer all your questions about MOSI and the role Manchester played in the Industrial Revolution.

The night will be spent at the Manchester Youth Hostel situated in the City Centre. 

Alton Towers

Wake up full of energy on Monday and get ready to spend a day at the famous Alton Towers! Here you’ll get a technical talk about design and health and safety issues of roller coasters, plus lots of free time to experience your favourite attractions. 

Tickets cost £60 for members and £159 for two tickets (Member £60 + non-member £99). Tickets include transport, accommodation, entrance into MOSI and Alton Towers as well as lunch & dinner on Sunday and breakfast & lunch on Monday. Tickets are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.

Our bus will be leaving from Bristol Bus Station at 7am on Sunday morning and return to Bristol Bus Station at approximately 8.30 pm on Monday evening.

Please note, because of the conditions of the James Bates grant this event is for 'Young Members' only (that is associate members, affiliate members and members who have been professionally registered for less than 10 years).
