The programme begins with Lunch and has presentations from a senior University Engineer covering the importance of Engineering to the UK economy, two presentations on the importance of Engineering Registration (CEng, I.Eng or Eng Tech) to engineering companies, one from a local small company the other from a national company; these will also cover the potential salary benefits following registration, a presentation from Alan King The IMechE Area Development Manager on the registration processes and how to take this forward to full membership and where appropriate CEng; this will cover the expectations of employers from newly graduated engineers and what they should expect from good employers supporting the development of engineers. The event concludes with detailed discussions with individuals or small groups as required about the practicalities of taking registration forward.
