Description

TRANSPORT: CLIFTON ROCKS TOUR

The Clifton Rocks Railway was a major engineering achievement in the 1890s and operated for 40 years, transporting people from Hotwells Road to Clifton in passenger cars running in a tunnel in the Avon gorge on steeply inclined tracks.

The tour will be an extended tour down in to the tunnels. The railway encompasses such a huge amount of Bristol’s heritage and general engineering history. This tour is not one to be missed!

We will meet at the White Lion Bar and Terrace (located within the Avon Gorge Hotel) from 18:00 to meet and greet, with the opportunity for networking before the tour which starts promptly at 19:00 - located less than 2 minutes from the White Lion Bar.
