Description
Wind power is presently one of the fastest growing forms of electrical generation. Offshore wind represents the most technically challenging phase of this power exploitation. Recent bid prices for offshore wind farms show that the cost of these developments is reducing. Prof David Infield (Renewable Energy Systems, University of Strathclyde) will provide an overview of this exciting technology.
For Jersey Lectures - Lectures will start at 8:00pm (which are free to attend) but are proceded by an optional dinner, starting at 6:30pm. If you wish to attend the dinner at a cost of £20pp bookings can be made by phone 01534 856566 or email Darren.sowney@geomarine.je.
