Description

Celebrate the Year of the Engineer by helping to enthuse the next generation. Bring your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Brownie or Cub packs etc. to visit the IMechE stand in Zone 2 of the Big Bang at Weston. Get your hands on our working models made using everyday household objects – motorised vehicles, fairground rides, vibrating brush monsters, fan boats, programmable models and many more. Have a go at making your own models to take home, including balloon hovercraft, balloon buggies, CD racers, Cartesian divers and squeeze rockets. If you would like more details or to lend a hand on the stand contact John Earp (contact details below). Models are provided by Caroline Alliston, founder of Technology for Fun - visit her website www.technologyforfun.co.uk for ideas and inspiration.
