Dear colleagues

Greenpower’s Castle Combe Western Regional Heat for the schools’ electric car design and racing project is running again and need volunteer helpers o the day.

This is a great way to encourage pupils to consider a career in engineering whilst having a good day out. Spectators/families are also welcome – it is free entry. Renishaw will be there with a stand to attract our future apprentices and graduates.

The F24 event (ages 11-16) comprises two 90 minute races.

The F24+ (ages 16-25) race occurs between the F24 races.

The help we need to make the day successful includes scrutineering (safety checks of cars), pit lane marshalling, prize judging and more. Early start for scrutineering if you can make it otherwise help is required throughout the day.  It is a fun day and no experience is necessary.

The event is on Sunday 16th September at Combe Circuit, Castle Combe, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN14 7EY.  Food and drink will be provided during the day.
