Description

The Government have pledged for the UK to be a net zero carbon emission country by 2050 and with around 15% of all carbon emissions coming from the production of heating and hot water it is obvious this sector has a large part to play. Arguably the hardest of all areas is the decarbonisation of heat and the UK has a strong gas usage heritage with over 86% of all homes, some 23m, being connected to the gas grid. We also have around 2m homes not on the gas grid using even higher carbon emitting heating products such as oil and lpg.

Whilst numerous consultations have, and still are taking place it is looking like the choice of options for the majority of homes is narrowing down to either electricity or a carbon free gas such as hydrogen. This webinar has been created to highlight the benefits and advantages of the different routes that could be taken as well as raising the awareness of the different heating systems that are prevalent in the UK. We will talk through some of the trials that are taking place as well as some of the issues we have encountered when using different types of heat sources within customers properties. We will talk about hydrogen at the point of use, both as a blend with natural gas and as 100% Hydrogen.

The talk will last for around an hour and we welcome questions on the subjects discussed.
