Speak Out for Engineering is a competition for young engineers designed to help develop verbal and visual communication in explaining technical mechanical engineering related subjects. The Competition Competitors must give an oral presentation on a mechanical engineering subject to be broken down as follows: • Presentation length: 20 mins • Question & Answer session: 10 mins • Competitors are to record their 20-minute presentation in advance of the competition. This part of the SOfE competition will not be conducted live. • The question and answer session, however, will be conducted live at the competition heat. Video submission deadline 19th November 2020 Live Q&A Event 26th November 2020 Winners of the heat will move onto the regional final Prizes for winning the heat: - 1st Prize - £300 & certificate - 2nd Prize - £200 & certificate.
