Description

The Kensa Kitchen Shoebox
There are still many questions
and confusions around the subject– when are heat pumps most
suitable for the heating system? How to select ground or air source.
Can they generate high enough water temperatures? What are the recent
technical developments?
Speaker
James Standley, COO Kensa
Heat Pumps

James has been a member of the
IMechE since studying at Bristol and has worked at Kensa for over 15
years. During his time at Kensa James has led the manufacturing
operations for the British made products, the product design teams
that created the Shoebox and EVO product lines and the whole business
through a period of significant growth.
Kensa,
based in Cornwall, are ground source heat pump specialists
established in 1999, offering an extensive range of award winning
British made systems backed by experienced customer support to help
with selection, heating system design and installation. They are
pioneering the delivery and financing of large scale multi dwelling
installations, networked heat pumps, a concept that is expected to
allow heat pump installations to scale rapidly as we replace our
fossil fuel heating systems.
James
will cover in the presentation –
-
Heat
pump capability – what they can and can’t do
-
Applications
– ground source or air source, advantages and limitations
-
Sources
of heat – field pipes, bore holes, ponds
-
Heat
distribution systems – how to get it right and no you don’t need
to change all your radiators
-
The
alternatives for heat as we move away from fossil fuels.
-
Costs,
timing and grants
