Kerry Hayes IMechE will talk about Floating Wind Farms

Kerry joined the Simply Blue Group team as Projects Development Manager in August 2021, focusing on the early-stage development of multiple large scale floating offshore wind projects. She is also the Policy Engagement Manager on the Blue Gem Wind project portfolio. Simply Blue Group is a leading early stage developer of projects in the marine environment, including floating wind. Blue Gem Wind is a joint venture between Simply Blue Group and TotalEnergies and is responsible for Erebus, the first test and demo lease in the Celtic Sea. Kerry is also a director on a portfolio of floating wind projects in Sweden and Finland.

Kerry has over a decade of experience in the renewable energy sector, working across the sector with marine energy project developers, and she has a broad range of experience in supply chain development, stakeholder engagement, planning, consenting and energy policy. Kerry is passionate about increasing female representation in the renewable energy sector. She is RenewableUK’s Shadow Board Chair, a regular conference speaker, mentor for students and professionals and holds guest lecturing posts at UK universities. Kerry has a BSc in Ocean Science and an MSc in Marine Renewable Energy from University of Plymouth.
