Description

Brief of site:

The £50m reconstruction of Durleigh Water Treatment Works (WTW) is Wessex Water’s flagship scheme for AMP6 due to its value and technical complexity. It is Wessex Water’s first scheme delivered to BIM Level 2. The treatment process is being upgraded and will comprise dissolved air flotation, rapid gravity filters, manganese contactors, granular activated carbon, chlorination and UV disinfection. This will reliably treat the challenging raw water quality, providing a 5-30Ml/day output to meet future customer supply and demand needs.
