Talk title
– The Critical Role of Long-Duration Energy Storage in Achieving Net-Zero

Join us as Stephen Crosher, CEO of RheEnergise, explains why long-duration energy storage is essential for the energy transition and how High-Density Hydro® is a game-changing solution.

RheEnergise, the UK company that is developing a new and advanced form of long-duration hydro-energy storage system, is to build its first-of-a-kind demonstrator of the system near Plymouth. The project is being supported through the UK Government’s Longer Duration Energy Storage (LODES) Demonstration Programme and the support of Devon County Council, which has permitted the project. Stephen will discuss the technical and environmental progress we've made on our nearly completed demonstration project.

The development and commercial deployment of long-duration energy storage technologies, like RheEnergise’ HD Hydro system – is regarded by the global energy industry and market experts as essential to the energy transition, the evolution and security of a country’s energy system and the expansion of renewable power generation worldwide.

About Speaker:
Stephen has a track record in innovation and commercialisation across diverse business sectors, from renewables, innovation and policy to architecture and design. He has been Commercial Director for two wind turbine manufacturing businesses, and is currently CEO of RheEnergise, a company which is disrupting the energy storage market with their innovative High-Density Hydro® pumped storage technology.
