Michael Zeidler from Swietelsky UK and Richard Smith from Plasser UK present their view on the future for  mechanised S&C ballast cleaning.

This is a joint event with PWI.

Michael and Richard will discuss:

- Experiences and lessons learned from 13 years of Swietelsky tamping works on HS1

- The growing ballast cleaning requirements for HS1 over the next few years

- The principle and operation of Plasser’s URM-2 Ballast Cleaner, including its working processes, capacities, and performance rates
