π Welcome to our special Christmas lecture, "Engineering a Better World: Innovating for a Sustainable Future"!
The IMechE Devon and Somerset Committee are please to invite you to join us on Tuesday 10th December 2024 at 18:30 for an exciting interactive session looking at how to tackle global challenges like pollution and community safety! Families and young people will engage in hands-on activities to brainstorm solutions for environmental, social and economic issues.

This special Christmas lecture will be delivered by Gabby Gosnell, a chemical engineer, entrepreneur and CEO of BuddyEd. Passsionate about sustainability and career empowerment, Gabby brings experience from Rolls-Royce's net-zero projects and has coached over 4,000 young people worldwide.

1.What age range is this event aimed at?
Although open to all, the recommended age range is 7 to 14
2. Do I have to book a space for my child, myself or both?
Please book a ticket for all attendees, both adults and children, to ensure we are able to align to the venues capacity
3. Do I need to stay with my children during the event?
Yes - all children in attendance will require a parent/guardian with them for the duration of the event
