Description
Do you want to enthuse your children about STEM? Bring them along to this fun workshop run by STEM Ambassadors from local industries and Technology for Fun. Attendees will make their own working models to take away, while discovering the science and engineering behind them.
The activities are suitable for children aged 6-12, accompanied by an adult helper. They will make the following models: balloon buggies, Cartesian divers, zip wires and spectroscopes.
Booking is required. It should take approximately one hour to complete all four activities. There are 4 times slots available: 10:00-11:15am, 11.30am-12:45pm, 1:15-2:30pm and 2:45-4:00pm – please place these slots in order of your preference when booking, leaving out any times you cannot attend. We will do our best to meet your preference but cannot guarantee this in all cases.
For any queries, contact Matt Chapman: Matt.Chapman@member.imeche.org
Other fun models such as vibrating brush monsters, CD racers, chair-o-planes, ballistae and computer-controlled models will also be available for attendees to try out. You can also talk to members of the team of STEM Ambassadors who run activities in local schools.
