Welcome to Plymouth University Marine Station tour, a hub for marine teaching, research, and exploration. Located on the shores of Plymouth Sound as part of our vibrant Waterfront Campus, this unique facility brings learning directly into the natural marine environment.
The Marine Station supports a wide range of marine-based courses, including civil engineering, earth sciences, and marine biology. During your tour, you’ll see our specialist laboratories and classrooms designed to connect students with the surrounding coastline and waters.
The station is also home to their research vessels, which play a key role in fieldwork and scientific discovery. In addition, it serves as a centre of excellence for diving, where students have the opportunity to gain professional diving qualifications while developing practical, industry-relevant skills.
