Description

Update 23rd Jan - THIS IS EVENT IS GOING AHEAD.
The cold weather is not stopping this talk.

Talk will start at 19:30.

The presentation will show how tilt improves passenger comfort in higher speed railway operation, and how high speed operation on curves also stretches the maintenance task for infrastructure and rolling stock.

In the UK, we have concerns about the spatial envelope required for tilting trains, and their speed control, so the presentation will show how these have been resolved through the use of a TASS system.
