The electrification of the GW mainline is a major railway project, and large investment in the western region. The installation will be assisted by specialist railway plant designed specifically for the purpose. Simon Bailey and Andy Batters will describe the engineering behind the factory train.
The factory train will be based in Swindon, in a new depot built specifically for the purpose. The depot engineer, Howard Griffiths, will describe how the depot will be run/operated.
