Description
The lecture will describe two examples of the new generation of passenger trains being produced by one of the world’s leading suppliers of railway equipment. The lecture will include aspects of the design, manufacture, operation and maintenance of the trains.
This is a free event, organised jointly with IMechE Southampton Area. It is open to members and non-members of all engineering institutions and to students of the University. Teas and coffees will be served before the lecture from 18.00 to 18.30, and free pizza, beer and other drinks will be available after the lecture from 19.45 to 20.45, in both cases so that students and others can discuss railway engineering career opportunities with Siemens and with several other major employers.
The event will be held in Garden Court:
