Description

Discover oenology, the science of wine and winemaking.

The Bath and Bristol Young Members Panel would like to invite you to a delicious, relaxed, informal fun and interactive introduction on how to taste wine and the science behind the production of wine.

The Bristol Wine School will take us on a journey, tasting seven quality wines from around the world to learn how to taste wine, looking at how to spot a fault, why professionals use the terminology they do and how to get the most out of each glass.

We'll find out about the effects of cold and warm climates on the taste of a wine and the different technologies used to ferment and age wine.

Our host will guide us through the effects of fermentation temperature, Oak barrels vs. Stainless Steel, Cork vs. Screwcap, fortification of wine, sparkling wine production methods and much more as we go.

Includes one artisan cheese, crackers, an experienced wine host and tasting notes.

*The event starts at 7:30 but there will be opportunity for networking from 7pm at Bordeaux Quay and immediately following the event*
