Description

The IMechE in partnership with the DBTC invite you to this new classic car and tractor social event.

Our guest speaker Stuart Gibbard will deliver a short talk titled The Power Behind the Glory covering the deep relationship between David Brown & Aston Martin, followed by a guided tour of the museum and old test track.

Guests are encouraged to bring along their classic & exotic cars for display outside the venue.

The power behind the glory: Several famous sportscar builders, including Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, Porsche, and even Lea Francis, had links with the farm tractor industry, but in most cases the connection was superficial. However, when it came to David Brown and Aston Martin, the relationship went much deeper, and the tractor manufacturer had a direct impact on developments at Meltham and, to a slightly lesser extent, Newport Pagnell.

A buffet will be provided together with an opportunity to network and talk about all things automotive.

This event counts towards CPD.
