ADYC Automobile Engineering Competition. 

The IMechE Automobile Division Yorkshire Centre's annual competition in support of our Region's Young Members. 

 

If you are an IMechE Member (30 yrs or under), who reside, work or study in the Yorkshire Region, and have an automotive-related project which you can talk about, we would like to hear from you!

Simply present your work to a small panel of IMechE members for a chance to win a prestigious trophy and cash prize! Teams or groups may also enter. Examples include undergraduate and postgraduate project presentations, or work related projects (with permission). 

First Prize - Trophy, £200 and certificate
Second Prize - £100 and certificate

Your presentation will also contribute to your Chartered status application.

This event will be held online. 

You will be allowed up to 20 minutes for your presentation with an extra 10 minutes for Q&A. This can be presented as an individual or as a group.

Please register your interest with Nicky Baxter (Admin Officer) no later than 14th June 2024 via the "Send a message" link at the bottom of the page, along with a short synopsis of your presentation (200 words max). Successful entrants will be notified shortly afterwards if they have been shortlisted to compete. 

Eligibility criteria for all entrants:
- You must be an IMechE member;
- You must be aged 30yrs or under;
- You must reside, work or study in the Yorkshire Region.


Friends and families of presenters are welcome to join. ​The event is open to all members to listen to the presentations, but with advanced registration. Please book your place to attend via the booking link at the top of the page & you will be sent joining instructions. 

Attendance at this event counts towards CPD.

Decisions by the judging panel will be final. The organisers reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the competition if required. Award of prize money is based on a presentation meeting a standard deemed appropriate by the judging panel.
