Your Committee Needs You!

The Yorkshire Eastern Area group of the IMechE is actively seeking new volunteer members to get involved in any capacity.

Volunteering on your local committee is not an onerous commitment and members can get involved to a larger or lesser extent dependent upon their interests and expertise.

IMechE Members from student to fellow grades are welcome to join and get involved.

Benefits of involvement include;

  • Networking with your local Professional Engineering community. Meet individuals similar to yourself. Engineers new to the Yorkshire Eastern geographic area are welcome.
  • Have a say in the governance of the IMechE within your local area.
  • Develop your skill-set and undertake projects in new areas of work adding positively to your CV.
  • Support the development of the next generation of engineers with involvement with schools & colleges Education-Links projects.

Members of the IMechE are welcome to attend a committee meeting to sample how it works and review opportunities available.  If you are interested please contact with the committee secretary or chairman as listed in the ‘contacts’ section of this website.
