We aim to put together a variety of events each year, including technical lectures, CPD workshops, social events and technical visits. We hope you find something of interest among the selection and look forward to meeting you at some of these events.
The events try to cover the IMechE key themes of Energy, Environment, Education, Healthcare, Transport and Manufacturing.

The IMechE Yorkshire Western Area Committee has established a close link with the Calderdale & Kirklees Manufacturing Alliance (CKMA) - run by manufacturers for manufacturers. Find out more about the CKMA.
In 2021, the
CKMA launched their
Make it in Manufacturing Virtual event. Aimed at Year 8 & 9 students and their teachers,
MiiM showcases local companies who produce an amazing range of products and sell globally. In a bid to inspire the next generation of engineers, this event offers information on which "options" to study for their future careers, and presents successful local businesses who are always looking for young, talented people keen to enter the world of work in a variety of roles.
