Welcome to the Yorkshire Region Western Area

If you live in and around Huddersfield/Halifax, we are here to support you and all our fellow local members.

There are over 700 members within the area and it is great to see the area continue to be a centre of engineering excellence.

We have put together a variety of events for the forthcoming year, including technical lectures, CPD workshops, social events and technical visits. We hope you find something of interest among the selection in the 2017-18 programme and we look forward to meeting you at some of these events.

The events try to cover the IMechE themes of Energy, Environment, Education and Transport.

Please check our events calendar for this year's activities.

Get Involved!

We are always looking for local members to get involved and help shape the way we deliver our support.  If you are prepared to help or are interested to see what goes on, please come along.  Check the events diary for more information.
