Due to popular demand, we have arranged for a return visit to enfinium Ferrybridge 1. The previous visit in January this year became fully-booked very quickly, so don't delay in booking your ticket if you would like to attend, as numbers are strictly limited.
enfinium is one of the UK's leading energy from waste operators supporting the UK's journey to a Net Zero economy. Residual waste which would otherwise go to landfill and cannot be reduced, re-used or recycled is used to generate energy and provides a sustainable solution.
enfinium are developing and run six decarbonisation hubs around the UK. Ferrybridge 1 is just one of them and is the lead station in the business regarding hours run.
Ferrybridge 1 generates up to 85MW (gross) onto the National Grid Network. The site processes up to 725,000 tonnes of residual waste per annum, producing enough electricity to meet the needs of up to 170,000 UK homes and businesses.
This visit will start with a short presentation on the operation at the Ferrybridge Energy from Waste plants, engineering challenges at Ferrybridge 1 and future developments. This will be followed by a plant tour of the facility, which will last approx. one hour. The whole visit will be approx. two hours long.
The necessary PPE for the plant tour will be provided on site. There will be stairs to negotiate during the site tour and sturdy footwear is essential.
Attendees must be aged 18yrs or over.
Attendees will meet from 6pm with the presentation commencing at 6.30pm, followed by the facility tour.
