Standards and design codes are crucial to supporting the adaptation of process industry assets to climate change. In this fifth episode of the series, John Dora, who plays a central role in their development at BSI, ISO and CEN/CENELEC, will discuss the evolving landscape starting with the ISO 14090 “framework” and ISO 'family' of adaptation standards it spawns. John will then provide an overview of developments on the Eurocodes for structural design and CEN/ CENELEC work on guidance for standards' users and writers. Finally, he will present the Adaptation Pathways concept for dealing with uncertainty, using BS8631 as an example, describe work currently underway on developing PAS 3090 for Infrastructure Systems, and outline the Rapid AP Assessment (RAPA) concept and how Network Rail have been using it.
