Dear Members,
It is a great honour and pleasure to have been elected as Chair of the IMechE Yorkshire Region. I have been involved with the IMechE since 1988 when I first started at the University of Leeds after completing my apprenticeship. I have had an interesting career, from building and designing tanks, to mechanical handling systems for offshore rigs, and more recently working in railway infrastructure in York.
I had been Chair of the IMechE Yorkshire Northern Area Committee for the past six years and look forward to continuing to serve the mechanical engineers of Yorkshire and beyond during my two-year tenure as Chair of the Region.
All of our members' voices are important, so don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like to get involved with your local IMechE network, or if you have any suggestions for future events or activities that you would like to see included in our programme. We would love to hear from you!
