UPDATE 19/03/2020: IN LIGHT OF THE EVER-CHANGING CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING COVID-19, THE DECISION HAS BEEN TAKEN TO POSTPONE THIS UPCOMING GOPRINT3D EVENT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING IN THIS DIFFICULT TIME.

Additive Manufacturing Landscape: Prototype to End Use Parts

  • 6:00pm to 6:30pm:  Arrival, networking, canapés and soft drinks.
  • 6:30pm to 6:45pm:  IMechE Northern Process Division introduction followed by a brief overview of the sector's future outlook and of the talk to follow.
  • 6:45pm to 7:30pm:  Kevin Askew to deliver his presentation called Additive Manufacturing Landscape: Prototype to End Use Part
  • 7:30pm to 8:00pm: Post-talk networking.

Many companies that engage with GoPrint3D are either new to Additive Manufacturing (AM) or have been deterred by perceived high entry costs of equipment, other companies are waiting to widen their AM capabilities.

This talk will look at cost effective Additive Manufacturing, looking for the right solution and reducing the barriers to entry using case studies from our customer base to look at what can be achieved by replacing traditional manufactured parts for 3D Printed equivalents and how this has led to benefits beyond the item itself.

GoPrint3D will also bring a range of printed parts to show which have been produced from a wide range of AM technologies. 2 AM units will be on display with the presentation.
