Roberta works with developers, contractors and consultants throughout the life-cycle of projects to mitigate and resolve disputes—projects which run the gamut from roads & utilities to residential master-planned developments to golf courses to major sporting venues. Roberta also works with ship builders during the building process.

Roberta has represented clients in DIAC, ADCCAC and ICC arbitrations—with particular emphasis on developing factual evidence and cross-examination.

With undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in economics, Roberta brings rigorous quantitative analysis skills to all aspects of her practice.

Roberta’ pro bono work includes representing Iraqi and Syrian refugees in the resettlement process.

Prior to joining Reed Smith in the Middle East, Roberta practised law at a leading global law firm in the United States, where she represented international and Fortune 500 clients in disputes across numerous jurisdictions. In addition to the aforementioned experience, she also advises on corporate regulatory issues, particularly those relating to environmental liability.

Roberta serves as the Vice-Chair (Middle East) for the Reed Smith’s Women's Initiative Network. She is active in the American Chamber of Commerce in Abu Dhabi, sitting on both the Engineering and Construction and Women in Business committees. She is also a member of the British Business Group in Abu Dhabi and the Society for Construction Law (Gulf).
