The Workshops and Transport Division (WTD) of the Fire Services Department (FSD) is primarily responsible for all engineering matters related to the design, procurement, inspection, testing, commissioning and maintenance of fire appliances (FAs), as well as fire-fighting and rescue equipment. 

Being one of the workshops under WTD, the FSD Kowloon Workshop provides extensive maintenance services and technical support for many types of FAs such as hydraulic platforms, major pumps, light rescue units and turntable ladders.
